Smell shows some citrusy hop, not a lot, but a mix of American and English Pale Ale. Taste does show some of that fine catbox of Amarillos. Again, not a lot, but surprisingly more than I’d expect from Dundee/High Falls. A backbone of English bitterness makes this a decent hoppy ale. Malts are toasty and caramel, just a bit to thin to back up the hop load. Interesting pale ale. slayer02348 (101), East Lansing, Michigan, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 12, 2010 Bottle [12oz]. Oh boy, another Dundee beer. It says "Bold and Bitter" on the bottle, I’m guessing it’s not. Pours a clear golden-amber, quite bubbly, with a small diminishing frothy off-white head. Mild but decent aroma of light resiny hops, citrus, a hint of pepper and bready malt. Flavour’s not too bad, I don’t mind it actually: A decent amount of hops (I wasn’t expecting much) along with some sweet fruit, pale malt, (oddly) some alcohol and a lightly bitter, dry finish. Average bodied. It’s not really an IPA and it’s far from great, but it’s pretty good for a Dundee beer -- I could actually have it again. garthicus (1399), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Aroma: Toffee, a little citrus, a good deal of malt, hops are negligible, barely detectable. A little pepper too. Flavour: Cotton candy malt, sugar, a little orange peel, alcohol seems to be noticeable however it’s only 6.3%. Has a somewhat perfume-malt finish. ghawener (1005), San Salvador, El Salvador

Amber pour with slight offwhite head. Aroma is slight citrus hop and some light sweet toffee malt. The flavor is old sad citrus hop which is overpowered by some sweet malting. A little blah but not undrinkable
