yarry (350), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Jan 2, 2008 12 oz bottle, 6.3% a/v
Pours a rich copper brown with a decent thick tan head. The aroma is largly hops, with some malt, some soap, and some citrus. The taste is hoppy and clean with a nice malt blend and a delicious citrus hop aftertaste. Both of JW Dundees Pale Ales (american and indian) are delicious
amish_caravan (189), Winona, Minnesota, USA Aug 5, 2008 not a bad beer. pours a golden amber color with lasting head. scent is hoppy but not too hoppy. taste is of hops. not a horrible beer, but not anything special. IlanMan (501), Winona, Minnesota, USA Aug 5, 2008 Slightly more hoppy aroma than the pale ale. Has a medium fresh hoppy aroma. Flavor is medium bitter and some sweet malt. Decent brew. Could use more hops for the IPA style. smjohnst (106), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 3, 2008 This was an OK IPA. It had the average IPA scent to it. Just some hoppiness and nothing else reallly. Little bit watered down but for the price it wasnt bad. Actually a little bit better than expected. coldbrewky (474), Saugerties, New York, USA Jul 30, 2008 Bottle from sampler 12 pack that the wife brought back from her travels for work. Pours a beautiful Bronze/Gold. Little head to speak of. Nose of gentle flower hops and a hint of mint. Body is well balanced between cryastal malts and assertive but not aggresive hopping. Finish is grainy and a tad alkaline. legs are minimal and ephemeral. Tangy and well presented from start to finish. If they sold it at the rip and run in cases, Id contemplate buying one. afireinside96 (361), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 28, 2008 12oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Pours orange with a quickly dissipating white head. Smells of citrus and solvents. Light citrus flavor is detectable underneath some harsh graininess. This is my favorite so far from the sampler case i bought but that isn’t really saying much.
