legion242 (1516), Richardson, Texas, USA May 9, 2008 Decent enough for what I was expecting, but left this really foul coating in my mouth after just two. Damn if they didn’t screw up one of my fave styles.
Dickinsonbeer (2510), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Aug 7, 2008 12 oz bottle listed just as "dundee pale bock" with a goat on the labl. Pours a refined clear pale copper with a nice frother white head and some slight lace. Aroma is light toasted amlts, doughy, and some light pretzel stick aromas and very light on the earthy hops. Ligth toasted malt flavor, light vienna and light munich, starts off ok, but finish is a bit thin and a slight syrupy sweet character which ends in a slight tangy solvent harshness. dlihcsnatas (45), Texas, USA Aug 6, 2008 Poured a light amber color with a malty aroma. Taste was malty as well with a dry aftertaste. Probably not the best bock out on the market but not bad either. IlanMan (501), Winona, Minnesota, USA Aug 5, 2008 Pour is light golden with a medium white head. Aroma was almost non-existent but did have a slight hop character. Flavor is also slightly hoppy with a hint of malt. Decent brew but not so much good. amish_caravan (189), Winona, Minnesota, USA Aug 5, 2008 slight scent of hops and some maltiness as well. kind of a skunky finish. not a very good beer, but it is drinkable. hotstuff (3031), Indiana, USA Jul 31, 2008 Bottle. Medium sized fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent, visible carbonation, and a gold hue. The aromia was malt, sweet and corn. The flavor was malt, lightly hoppy, somewhat harsh and astringent tasting. Tingly mouthfeel and medium in body. Nothing special by any means as there are better of this style so don’t waste your time and $.
