COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular.
Originally called GB Mild (the GB being Lees’ brewery - Greengate Brewery), and under this name won Champion Mild of Britain in 2004. The name changed to Brewer’s Dark in January 2008.
Brewers Dark continues to be in great demand, despite the downward trend in mild sales. It is a smooth well-rounded light coloured mild with a malty and fruity aroma. The taste is distinctive with a smooth sweet flavour and a dry malty aftertaste.

[Cask at GBBF 2004] A brown beer with no head. The aroma is primarily of chocolate, while the flavor is roasted bitter with notes of coffe, but the body is ofcourse thin - it is a mild. Nice one.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2008 Cask at GBBF 2005 Dull inoffensive watery, some fruit could drink it all night and not notice 1.9/5 Re-rate Cask handpull at Willow Walk ’Sporks. Very dark ruby, thin beige head. Decent tasty dark mild, some roasted malt, bit toasty, some sting on the tongue at end. Aroma of dark syrup and fruit that is quite attractive. Rather a good mild, with this subtle sting finish.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Brown with soapy cream head. A decent amount of flavour in this, there is a roasty caramel, toffee note, some sweetness and some fruitiness. Thinnish in the finish, but pretty reasonable.
