275ml bottle from Shropshire. Vintage 1986. Lots of gunge at the bottom, but no carbonation. Hangs together well with a good beefy aroma tinged with cardboard and Darjeeling tea. Nice mouthfeel. A decent enough beer - quite dry, quite interesting, and reasonably satisfying and refreshing. Some sweet spots, toffee edged and pleasant. An awareness of wood smoke about the whole thing. Tasty enough, but doesn’t quite grab me.
