Kind of knew what to expect. And I’ve never liked Coronation Street. hoppy floral aroma, thick creamy palate, mild malt and hops. I didn’t hate it.

Cask at Winterfest. In the midst of all the finery on show tonight, this is insipid, sweaty, cardboard pisswater.

hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 23, 2009
Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark gold with a small white head. Faint, indeterminate aroma. Taste has a watery fruit character: apple and almond? Mid bitter finish. This is a thin, meagre, flaccid, slightly depressing beer. The pumpclip included the adjective ’robust’, which it certainly isn’t.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Pale fruity bitter, bit of peppery hop, fairly balanced and drinkable stuff.

A Mes rate. Gravicask at GBBF.
Dirty blonde (sounds much more entertaining than it actually is...) Tea, malt, biscuits, no hops. Vile.
