From cask. Pours cloudy orange with a small white and creamy head. Aroma is fruity and slight malty. Bitter and malty flavoured. Dry caramelish note. Light grassy touch. Ends bitter and dry.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark gold with a small white head. Faint, indeterminate aroma. Taste has a watery fruit character: apple and almond? Mid bitter finish. This is a thin, meagre, flaccid, slightly depressing beer. The pumpclip included the adjective ’robust’, which it certainly isn’t.

Amber with a small white head. Earthy and grassy hop aroma. Dry and grassy flavour with distinct bitterness.

Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, roasted, caramel, apple and nutty notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090805]

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Pale fruity bitter, bit of peppery hop, fairly balanced and drinkable stuff.

Malt aroma. Golden bronze coloured and smooth on the palate with a little bitterness in a crisp full malt finish.
2. Cask Handpump at the Saracens Head, Stockton Heath 30/05/2009
Hop aroma. White head. Bronze coloured and a little rich on the palate with a crisp dry and fruity lasting malt finish.

Dirty blonde (sounds much more entertaining than it actually is...) Tea, malt, biscuits, no hops. Vile.

Gravicask. Golden body, missing head. Mild aromatic hops to the nose. Flavoured with figs and earthy malts. Rather diluted fruit bitterness to the ending (sampled the rating table, GBBF 05.08.2009).
