3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Brown sugar, molasses, raisins, peaches, caramel. This is a good Engish Strong Ale. The taste isnít as sweet as expected, but itís still a nice dessert beer. Apples and toffee are in there, too. The beer pours reddish amber with a small ecru head. Mouthfeel is full and chewy. Itís a litlte bit nutty. Very enjoyable beer.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured from bomber. Pours a very nice, strong dark color that represent the English Strong style. Very little head, which was fantastic to pour. Smells of very dark malts with a taste to math. Goes down smooth with no alcoholic bite to it, though it exchanges any sort of fizziness for a flat character with almost no carbonation.
Quite the example of a Strong Ale.

0.5L bottle@John Bull Pub, Aalborg. Dense, yellow head. Clear, dark mahogny body. Sweet-scented malty, dark dried fruits, pepper and caramel. Taste is very sweet and rich malty. Notes of dark fruits and burnt suger. Thick, almost syrupy in the mouth. Healthy body. Bitter-sweet endnotes. Too far on the sweet side for my likings.
