Bottle. A malt bomb. Chocolate, fruits, woody, tobacco. Clear light mahoghany body, tan head which lasts about 2 seconds. Sweet. Strong carbonation, dry finish. Silky mouthfeel. Warming. Doesnít taste its strength. Clearly a cousin of Harvest Ale.

Bottle. Brown sugar, molasses, raisins, peaches, caramel. This is a good Engish Strong Ale. The taste isnít as sweet as expected, but itís still a nice dessert beer. Apples and toffee are in there, too. The beer pours reddish amber with a small ecru head. Mouthfeel is full and chewy. Itís a litlte bit nutty. Very enjoyable beer.

Poured from bomber. Pours a very nice, strong dark color that represent the English Strong style. Very little head, which was fantastic to pour. Smells of very dark malts with a taste to math. Goes down smooth with no alcoholic bite to it, though it exchanges any sort of fizziness for a flat character with almost no carbonation. Quite the example of a Strong Ale.

Thanks to blazer06 for the share. Pours dark caramel color with an off-white head. Nose is caramel, dates, toffee, slight port notes. Flavor is similar with lots of depth to this one. Interesting beer from one of Englandís finest.

Bottle from Monument Wine. Pours reddish brown with a decent tan head and a treacle aroma. There is a pleasant toffe flavor, a bit nutty, with a dry slightly bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours amber-red with a large, tan head. Heavy malt aroma with with caramel and ripe fruit. Quite a sweet flavor with lots of malts, light breadiness, dark fruits and faint roast. Mild bitterness. Medium to full in body with average carbonation. Finishes sweet with lingering malt notes. Very good.

Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine. It definitely wasnít on cask, so Iím rating it under the bottle version. Clear copper pour with a thin off-white head. Malty and fruity nose with a bit of caramel. Caramel malt flavor up front with some soft fruit and a bitter bready finish.

Bottle. Sweet plum and barley malt aroma. Chestnut color with large, cascading head. Sweet raisin and toffee malt flavor with a mild bitter/astringent alcohol finish. Nice balance. Very nice.

0.5L bottle@John Bull Pub, Aalborg. Dense, yellow head. Clear, dark mahogny body. Sweet-scented malty, dark dried fruits, pepper and caramel. Taste is very sweet and rich malty. Notes of dark fruits and burnt suger. Thick, almost syrupy in the mouth. Healthy body. Bitter-sweet endnotes. Too far on the sweet side for my likings.
