500ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Pours with a big head, deep red. Rich fleshy ripe fruits, and slightly sherry-like, aroma. Smooth and sweet body, pleasant carbonation. A little sticky. Toffee and rich malts in the taste, almost like a barleywine. Finish is sweet and biscuity, and with a very sticky dark hoppy bitterness.

hopscotch (9242) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 13, 2004
Sparkling clear caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, beige head. Good retention. Ink-blot lacework. Very malty. The aroma and flavor are of caramel. They’ve hopped it up just enough to almost balance out the sweet malt. Full-bodied with a heavy, creamy mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Lengthy, alcoholic, bitter finish.

Bottle: Hazy, deep amber coloured, mid-sized off-white head with a good lace; sweet raisins and sweet dark malt in the nose, some liquorice in the background; sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; well hidden traces of hops in the nutty, caramelly, fruity and vinous finish. Bottled. A muddy chestnut coloured beer with no head. The aroma is vinuous, fruity and malty. Brown fruits and bread in the nose. Lovely fruity alcoholic taste. There’s a bit of sweet pickle (Branstons) in there. Warming and very lovely.
