Draft - Sour cherry and a bit of vinegar. Dark amber with a beige head. Sour cherry and a bit of medicinal with acid. Very nice.

Tap. Pours clear tawny with a medium, fizzy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, dark and sour fruits, earthy and herbal hops with light funky leather notes. Flavor is malt forward with funky fruit and oak with caramel notes and a sweet finish. Medium body, warmth and carbonation.

Served on draft at The Birch in Norfolk, VA on 7/15/11. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of tart berries, earthy notes and grapes. The taste is toffeeish notes, tart grapes, berries and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Interesting.

On tap. Clear reddish brown with no head. Sour aroma up front with some dark fruit notes on the nose. Tastes of sour red wine, tobacco, and light smoke with a crisp tartness. Thin bodied palate. Not bad.

A reddish amber pour with a thin white head. Fairly tart aroma, lots of vinegar. A mild smokiness, some leather, and some residual malt sweetness of bread and toast. The flavor is quite dry and tart. Red wine vinegar, some sweet fruit esters, and toasted malt. There’s a lot of leathery dryness, some grass, and a fair amount of smoke.
