A style of ale that Ireland is famous for, our Red is brewed with wheat, crystal, chocolate, munich and pale malts. A well balanced, mild and easy drinking Irish ale with a smooth malty sweetness and hints of caramel.

On tap at JW Sweetman, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Nose and flavour are clean but pretty restrained, with cereal notes and bready caramel notes. Restrained and clean, but pretty boring. I don’t understand why this is rated so well. Pretty ordinary.

on tap. Smooth in the beginning. The beer starts malty with earthy hints, that gets more intense to the mainpart. Floral-smooth, caramel. The aftertaste is smooth, floral, sweetish-bitter. Nice for a Red Ale. 10/12/11/10

Draft pour at the source. The beer is a clear red with a medium sized white head of foam. The aroma is toasty and caramelly. The taste lends more of a lightly sweet toffee. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Tap at the brewery. Pours like a red ale should. Ruby red with a small, firm beige head. Nose is light floral hops and light toffee biscuit. Balance comes through well on this one. Floral hops with a sweet caramel base and dough. Solid
