COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg, regular
A blend of pale and crystal malts and ample quantities of Cascade hops from America’s Pacific Northwest. Well balanced, medium bodied, citrusy and unfiltered; this is a California-style dry-hopped Pale Ale that is full of flavour with intense hop aromas.

The head is fantastic and robust, the body is orange-red. It smells hoppy-aromatic, intensive, a bit bitter, but more fruity, a bit malty. The taste is hopintensive, a bit pellet, fruity, flowery. A hoparomatic and easy drinkable, really tasty Pale Ale from Dublin! I couldn´t stop to drink this one and the Porter as I was there ;) 15/13/13/12/-/13

Pint from the brewpub. Dark amber in colour with thick white head. Smells hoppy. Lots of cascade (my fave hop) so far so good. Taste doesnt disappoint. Lota of bitter, citric, hoppy goodness. Really tasty beer. This brewpub really are churning out some good stuff

On draught at Sweetmans, no notes, from memory. Cloudy amber gold, thick white head. Lovely bready caramel nose, some floral and bread notes. Taste is superb, toasted malt, sweet caramel, tropical fruits, backed by a nice hop bite. Robust mouthfeel, soft carbonation, long well balanced finish. 4 quid a pint, brilliant stuff.

On tap at the brewpub. Appearance: Amber red, thick off white head. Aroma: HOPS!!!!!!! Delicious cascade hops, some cattiness, citrus, perfumy, smells great. Flavour: A little less hoppy than the aroma but still really well hopped, malty with a nice sweetness, bitter on the tongue with a medium length hoppy finish. Would LOVE to try this on cask with some dry hopping.

From growler at Reuben’s
Hazy burnished gold. Dank hops and grainy malt. Fresh dirtiest grapefruit, shortcake malt, fresh and quaffable. At once unfinished and ready to drink.

Typical golden straw colour. Refreshing citrus hop taste with lingering finish. Every mouthful is delicious. Very impressed.

På fad, jW Sweetmans brewpub i Dublin. Næsten klar ravgylden med et pænt og holdbart off-white skum. Endnu en amr. humlet irsk pale ale. Krydret, floral, citrussy næse. Men ret engelsk malt-base: karamel, nødder, toffee, hø. Ret velkomponeret, smagsrig men crisp. Og imponerende fyldig med så lav abv. Lang bitter finish. Virkelig god.

Cask (handpull) at JWS, Dublin - first pint sold from a fresh cask. Deep orange with lasting white head. Plenty of pine in the aroma, some grapefruit, and fairly waxy orange - caramel and herb in there too. Taste gives a bigger hit of caramel (not sticky or cloying by any means), pithy grapefruit, very juicy blood-orange, loads of pine resin, some herbs. A good whack of slightly rough pithy citrus bitterness, which lingers for a while. Well balanced, lots of solid C-hop character. Good stuff - a solid APA at an incredibly sessionable ABV. Four quid a pint at all times too, so an extra point for value.

Deep amber pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma is bready with light caramel malt and some citrus hop notes going on. Bready malts, citrus hops a decent dry citrusy bitter finish. Pleasant surprise

Keg @ J W Sweetmans, Dublin [140813]
Amber, clear, dense thin white head, good lacing
Aroma of citrus resinous hops, mellow fruity malts, background of soft caramel
Taste of floral soft bit spicy hops, fresh soft resinous hops, touch of orange, nice fruity malt background, well balanced flavours - good hoppy flavour, not too bitter with the fruity malt
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, good carb for keg, smooth texture, good bitter sweet balance, quaffable. Finish as main flavour, hoppy, resinous, clean finish
Overall - Very well made beer, good flavours - easily drink a few pints of this
