motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Jan 29, 2008 on tap at modry abbe, the kacov pub in prague and vinarna hrozen. possibly my favourite kvasnicovy. dullish honey colour, lasting creamy head, amazing ly salty and fresh aroma of nettles and various other plants that sting, smoked ham, a butcher after a hard day at work. quite zoigl like - chalky, prickly, buttery texture, reasonable bitterness. awesome stuff
TBone (4841), Pori, Finland Jul 19, 2008 Draught@Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen
Slightly hazy golden color, good white head. A bit metallic, grassy nose. Earthy, grassy-woody bitter. Nice hoppy bite in the finish. Long hoppy aftertaste. Not much different than normal 12P-version. After finding that normal 12P so good, I expected a bit more from this, so I was slighlty dissapointed. thewolf (3392), Kolding, Denmark Jul 10, 2008 Tap @ Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen.
Pours hazy dark golden with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has good hoppiness, lots of spiciness and grass. Fine, lightly creamy mouthfeel. Super hoppy flavour, some fruitiness, grass and light pine. Some grainy malt character as well. Super dryness in the finish. yespr (5611), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 9, 2008 From tap at Hrozen. Pours slight cloudy and orange with a slowly collapsing white head. Mild spiced and hoppy aroma. Flavour is mild breadish malty, light dry. Light delicate hops fruity flavour in addition. Mild spiced and solid bitterness into the finish. imdownthepub (3960), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Jul 9, 2008 Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen. No.3 on tasting list. Gold with slight haze, white head. Light, lagery beer!, I know that this covers a multiple of choices, but I got a light lemony Saazy hop, slightly sweet and all very understated. One of the better beers on the night. harrisoni (4915), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 9, 2008 Draft at Vinarna Hrozen during RBESG. I’m glad Per said minty because that it what I got as well. Gold, lasting beige head. Smells of some cereal and a little eucalyptus perhaps. "Duff is so easy," said Pauline at this stage of the evening. It’s a kind of minty weird lager. I give up. Seriously, I just don’t know what to make of beer anymore.
