0,2l from tap at LifeHouse, Nitra. black colour, small tan head. smells of licorice, spices, light roast, bit colaish, peppery. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, spices, light soapy notes, light coffee, peppery some herbs. finishes lightly bitter with notes of licorice and spices. good one, hops were lightly oldish and not so crisp anymore, but overall nice one.

0,33l bottle. Very dark colour with huge thick long lasting beige, almost brown head. Aroma: Very instense. Pine, pineapple, grapefruit, and overall fruity citrus but the roasty, chocolate and coffee notes are hiding there too and slowly coming out. Taste: Short roasted malty start (coffee) than a medium bitter (fruity) mouthfeel. Very warming and rich. Smokey and quite dry. Full body with average carbonation. Long bitter finish. Very serious and huge beer, I liked it a lot.

Floral hit from the hops but the rye still comes through strong. Caramel and nutty tones after the floral hit. Maybe a little too high on the CO2.

Rating #1721 - 2015.06.03 - Bottle from CBI. Pours a red light district at midnight black, with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is a violent clash between toasted malt, and floral piney hops. Taste is extremely hoppy, tempered with a pleasant coffee, chocolate, burnt sugar sweetness that disguises any alcohol on the palate and rounds out the hoppy bitterness, and is beyond refreshing. Unreal hoppy black beauty.

Keg @ BeerGeek Bar. Very dark, looks clear, mediu size tanned head, good lacing. Sweet licorice aroma, roasted barely, milk chocolate and grass. Chalky mouthfeel, a bit sweet, mild carbonated. Licorice taste up front, roasted malt, black coffee, chocolate and grassy hops. Dry chalky finish.

Bottle at home. Aroma is rye, coffee, roast, fruity hops, pine, bit citrus, touch of dark chocolate. Flavour is above medium bitter with a slight touch of sweetness. Body is medium, bit high on the carbo. Pretty good Black IPA, nicely roasty and coffee, palate a bit so-so.

Toasted, dark malts, liquorice, dark chocolate, some pine. Clear, dark brown, massive, frothy, beige head. Medium bitter. Dark, roasted malts again, pine, dark chocolate, soft carbonation, floral hops. Decent Black IPA, aroma is better than palate. Bottle from Independent Spirit, Bath.
