Shortlived cream head over veiled red-amber beer. Syrupy, waffles syrup, fusels’ nose, giving a strong liqueurish impression. Overripe fruit, banana. Serious bitterness, but rather short-lived. Very dry, even chalky impression. Dried grapes with near all the sugars taken out, other dried fruit. Warming up, the alcohol gives more sweetness, and the malts come out stronger, lending more balance. Not really thick, but well bodied, oily-slick. Well, yeah. Quite OK.

Wat een geweldige IPA zeg. Zeer veel diepgang en karamel en tenminste niet zo’n overheersende IPA smaak.

Tap at Irreale. Caramel nose. Red amber, lacing offwhite head. Honeyish, roast, berry, herbal and earthy hop notes. Chewy body, mellow mouthfeel . English earthy and citric hop finish.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours hazy amber with some sediment and an off-white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma and flavour are pine, grapefruit, and resin - with a bitter finish.

Light unclear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, sweet fruit, hops, moderate yeasty, fruity. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, sweet fruity hops, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140720]

Bottle. Quite dark reddish-amber with a small dissipating off-white head. The aroma is rather odd, considering the hops used--some pine and orange, but rather a lot of odd perfume and certainly a lot of caramel malt. I asked my girlfriend aka ’The Nose’ to have a whiff and give an objective observation: she offered "carboard--no, more like the end of a toilet roll". The flavour isn’t going in the right direction either. Bitterness is decent. Way too much caramel malt, really not appropriate for a 6% IPA. This could be a really old bottle, in which case, it hasn’t aged well.
