Served in a Hubertus glass in Kutná Hora, CZ in 2011 (from notes) A - A hazy golden amber with a durable off-white head. Plenty of lacing. Aroma: yeasty with light malt and less hops. A sour note, presumably from the yeast. Taste: a bit sweet at first, but bitter hops kick in mid-taste and leave a long lasting finish. M - moderstely carbonated and crisp, with a medium body that is somewhat full for style. A bit less dry than a typical Czech pilsner. O - very good with no flaws to complain about, unless you find the sour note in the aroma objectionable, but not special either

Velice příjemná dvanáctka. Chuť ničím nevyčnívá, což ale neznamená, že by šlo o nějaké europivo, jen je vše dobře vyvážené.

1 liter sealed plastic green bottle - kindly shared by JorisPPattyn. To set the record straight: I am not a pilsner drinker (because of the severe and profound dislike for all of those industrial corporates, yes, I am talking to you AB Inbev!)... But what the hell is this? One of the most raw and flavourful beers I have ever tasted (with regards to the ABV). Pours gold with a creaaaammy white head. Aroma of malt malt malt and some yeast.Medium body with nice bitterness level, not standing in the way of the flavours which is malt again with some flowerly notes.

Tap @ Pivovarsky Klub. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, grassy hops, light sourness. Flavor is malt, grass, soapy. Medium body, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Not very pleasant due to the offnote of soap. 040812

On tap in restaurant Kreta in Kutna Hora. Aroma is weak malty with hint of nuts and hops. Taste is malty with nice hops aftertaste, overall a bit on the sweet side. Nice beer, certainly very drinkable.

Thick-set, medium/fluffy yellowish head, fed by lively, big-bubbled copperish-golden beer. Smells like boiling (hopped) worts. Bit toasted cookies, maltcookies, Scottish shortbread. Herbal-hoppy, light bitterish, aromatic hopflavour upon lightly toasted malts and faintly acidic carbonation. Excellent balance, great fresh taste. Light to medium bodied, light grist-, but also yeastslick. Very carbonated. Definitely amongst the best Bohemians ever tried. Many thanks for this one, Honza!
