Light hazy golden coloured, small white head. Hoppy, light yeasty and spicy with mild fruity taste with touch of hay in the short watery finish. Not worth of detour.

MartinT (7760) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 8, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2009 My Bottom Line:
This bready Zwicklbier excels in its dulcet tones and jolly feel, lending hay and light citrus to a balanced and perfectly drinkable pint.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slab of foam covers the cloudy blond.
-Carbonation is as soft as the round maltiness.
-This is less hoppy than their Pils and a tad bulkier.
-This is yet another smashing Kadlez lager!

On tap at the brewpub.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy deep golden, small creamy head. Light grassy/spicy aroma. Very sweet with doughy malt. Medium bodied with cottony spun sugar and some resiny bitterness. Lovely soft malt, but halfway ruined by the near extreme sweetness.

Comments: A slightly vegetal (corn) beer that manages to be delicious thanks to a somehow fitting hop bill, firmly hoppy, grassy and floral: field-like and the corn feels welcome. Excellent crisp body, no astringency. Just an exemplary lager. Thumbs up.
