3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
My Bottom Line:
Banana and pear esters move into pineapple connotations, as thick, milky proteins are freshened by wet juniper greenness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the murky whitish blond.
-This is very aromatic, even when cold. The juniper is expressive but softened by a talkative yeast profile.
-Mouthfeel is chewy, just like a Weissbier with less carbonation than average.
-Drinkability is rather high.
-Like most traditional Koduolu, this takes some getting used to (a bit like unblended lambic, for that matter). That being said, this is a smashing example of the style, as good, if not better, than the best glass of Pihtla.
5-liter jug from the brewery in Partsi.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Keg at Koht, 20130703) Served in a clay mug. The beer poured golden and quite cloudy. Its head was quite large and white. Aroma had banana, juniper and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, juniper, banana, sweetness and mild bitterness. Aftertaste had juniper and bitterness. A very good koduõlu

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
0,5l mug @Koht, Tallinn. Hazy yellowish color. Medium, thick white head. Spicy, white pepper, fresh hay, sweet aroma. Grassy sweet taste. Spicy aftertaste. Maybe this spicyness is actually juniper? If so it fits very well.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy, murky orange color, good creamy white head. Lots of banana with some juniper notes. Medium-bodied with sticky palate. Foamy mouthfeel. Lots of banana and juniper in the flavor. Also wood and vegetables. Quite Finnish-style koduõlu.

Tap (Koht, Tallinn)
6 Sweet and sllightly floral aroma, orangy and wheaty.
4 Hazy pale orange, huge head, took 10 minutes to get it into the glass, using several auxiliary vessels.
7 Lovely smooth palate, gentle, but pleasant carbonation. Finish is pretty mellow. Part white-bready, part light floral grains.
14+ Super drinkable. Way lessexciting than Pihtla, but less quirky and safer. A learner koduõlu, perhaps. So easy to drink.
