Vom Faß im Bieramt, Wien. Dark ruby brown, good clarity . Creamy, light choco colored head. Nose is burnt sugar/caramel with some vague pepper noted. Substantially sweet and caremelly malt flavor. No bitterness to speak of. Feels succulent in the mouth. Finishes way too far on the sweet side.

Bottle from BCA Extra, Bp. Clear chestnut brown pour with a medium sized beige head which leaves a thin film behind. Malty smell and aroma with caramel, brown sugar and moderate toasted malt and dough in the background. The slick mouhfeeled brew finishes malty and medium dry escorted by bread-crust.

I’d love this beer if I were a horse. I’m not, so it’s only a "good". My wife loves this malty bastard, though. Extra dark pour, malty oat sweet smell. Extra malty taste. Lighter body than it looks. No bitterness, she’s sweet.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Bottle from Billa, Hainburg, Austria. Dark brown color with medium white head. Roasted malt and caramel in aroma. Taste, sweet, malt, caramel. Too sweet for me.

Zum Glück ist dieses Malzbier nicht ganz so süß, wie man es von anderen Malzbieren kennt. Der Nachgeschmack bleibt ganz aus. Für ein Malzbier gehts in Ordnung. Test vom 11.5.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,6,6,4,5,4 - 4,75

Bottle in Salzburg, Austria. Clear deep brown beer. Very sweet malt dominates. A dry sweet malt finish. My sweet tooth can handle this but I think many would find this too much.

Also on tap at Sternbrau in Salburg (a place only good for beer, not food). And it must be better from tap! I liked this a lot. Smell is a little nutty, roasty but good. A bit malty, but a very nice consistency. Sweet and tasty.
