bottle - light hazy copper beer with a white head. Some hay aroma. Flavour is very malty, almost too sweet. No bitterness. Low carbonation.

Test vom 3.12.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,8,9,9,9,9 - 8,85

Golden colour, clear. White ehad. Flavour is a bit sweet with some fruity hops. Good mouthfeel. Sweetish flavour with fruitish hops and caramel. Fair medium bitterness.

Bottle. Golden, low carbonation, dishwater head. Light grainy aroma. Lightbodied, hayish malt base, herbal and grassy bittering hops, strangely disjointed. Not a winner

Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden with a greenish sheen, small but lacy white head, visible carbonation; doughy-grassy nose with "nice" papery aromas; mild to moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; short, doughy-bitter finish. Disappointing, as usual.........

(swing top bottle. 33cl, as “Grüß de Gott Alois”) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond and thick foamy head. Citrus-fruity and slightly flowery hoppy aroma with a biscuity malty, also a bit soapy background. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly crispy carbonation.Pale malt-character with fruity and slightly herbal hops; a bit slim and short slightly malty and minimal hop bitter finish but still with subtle flowery and fruity notes. Not bad. 03.VI.10

Swing-top bottle. Slightly sweet corn/barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Slightly sweet barley malt flavor with a light grassy hops finish. Light, uninspiring beer.

The bottle looks good, also written in big letters: "Grüß de Gott Alois". Looks also good in the glass. The beer is very zippy, aroma very fruity. Tastes very malty and fruity. In the finish dominates the malt. Good beer.
