2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 armando629 (1997) - Budapest, - JAN 23, 2008
I’ve drunk it in Hungary from a 0,5 liter bottle, the beer called Kaiser Bier with 5,3% abv (Brewed by Heineken Hungária Nyrt.). I was confused too like DSG, but I think this is the beer what i’ve tasted. Nice golden color, a small but fair head. The aroma is not so expressive. a little grains and yeast. The flavour is sweety with grains and a fizzy carbonation, a light hoppy taste. Sweety and forgetable aftertaste. Not bad, a little boring. And not a pilsner... A simple lager

Canned sample. Pale gold in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are faint, with traces of pilsner malt, and apple blossom. Flavours are of sugar cookie dough, and a hint of apple. Medium bodied for the style. Definitely lacking in the hops department. A pretty bland continental pilsner overall, albeit a bit cleaner than some of the bog boys.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Henti (130) - HUNGARY - DEC 25, 2011
Bottle. Not a bad pilsner from Austria. Great golden colour with nice, but quick dissapearing white head. Good traces of malt, and a light bitterness at the end.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Martin243 (249) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2011
Draught in the hotel in Badgastein. Pale gold mettalic flavour. Head disappeared rapidly. Taste is discernably beer, and the impression is of ersatz Stella: proof, if required, that even great brewing nations have a lowest common denominator.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 PictouRx (93) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2011
Pale straw color on pour from 500ml can, little head noticed. Some woody floral note to it, a most uninspiring brew, little taste noticed at all, has a flat feel to it. I am disappointed expected more somehow, oh well supposedly premium quality on the can, but not a premium experience.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 rosenbergh (3495) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 13, 2011
500 ml can. As Kaiser Bier. 5.3%. Brewed in Hungary by Heineken Hungária. Budapest, Hungary.
Clear pale golden colour with small white head.
Mild grainy malty aroma.
Flavour is sweet caramel malt and bitterish grassy hops.
Bitterness is not that flattering.
Gets quite unpleasant.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Frothmeister (248) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2011
500ml. The cheapest import on the shelf. Pours a pale straw, with a white head. Aroma is sweet watery malt, with some apple, and woody notes. Taste is watery malt, mineral notes, with some light metallic hops, and some woody notes in the finish.
