The full impenetrable mokka coloured appearance with lucent red sheen is crowned by a creamy head. The roasted malt aromatic fragrance reminds of dark bread and fresh coffee. The velvety smooth malt flavour shrouded by a harmony of sweetness flows elegantly and cleanly along the gums. The well-proportioned body appears warming and is complemented by a fine bitterness which finishes calm and dry.

Eh I wasn’t too impressed with this beer. Weak aromas and flavors of chocolate, molasses and roasted malt. Looks like cola. Mouthfeel is highly carbonated but too thin. Overall I’d say this is below average for a Schwarzbier.

1L can (as gift). Pours black with beige head. Aroma is potatos, roast, metallic notes. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, malt, metallic notes, potatos. Body feels light, but it’s rather sugary so it doesn’t feel very watery. Carbonation is on the high side. Overall: drinkable.

Pours a clear dark brown with a beige head. Sweet roast and nuts in the nose. Medium body, dry roastiness and a dry finish too. Not too bad.

Kinda sedate, even for the style. Smells and looks the goods (soft chocolate and roast) but the palate really doesn’t travel far. Chocolate doesn’t translate and leaves the beer in a bit of a flat spot. (Makro 190 baht for a big arse 1lt can).

Can, 50cl. Pours almost pitch black with a huge, foamy with big bubbles beige head. Fine lacing. Sweet syrup malty aroma with roasted notes, bread, liquorice, cocoa and mocca. Chestnut honey, milky chocolate and roasted malt in the flavour. Bread and dry moderate bitterness. Easy drinkable. Roasty bitter aftertaste with thin body. Little boring perhaps, other than that quite alright.

Klart colafarget med lavt skum. Duft av knekkebrød, høy og karamell. Samme i smaken sammen med noen søte toner. Tynn munnfølelse.

Not a bad dark lager. Pours a very nice deep black with a tan head. Not much of any smell, slightly sweet, some vanilla. Taste is sweet, with vanilla, and a coffee finish. Had on tap at Beer Cafe in New Delhi.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2016 Pours a big but short-lived beige head on top of a rich brown body. Roasted malts and toasted bread. Slight malty sweetness and moderate bitterness. Low carbonation that drifts away. Light-to-medium body but a little watery. A rather nice dark beer and a pleasant surprise at the price.
