chicagodri (422), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 17, 2008 On tap at the Handlebar on North Avenue in Chicago. Recently released I guess. Pours opaque gold with a nice head. Nice aroma of wheat, malt, and a little bit of hops. Medium body, and refreshing. The hops peak through in the aftertaste. I think the Oberon has a little better flavor though and fruit/spices to it.
AOF (277), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jul 20, 2008 Cloudy gold with a thin white head. Slightly citrus aromas alongside the standard grassy/graininess of a wheat. Easy to drink and really quite good. SQNfan (388), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jul 7, 2008 Cloudy dull yellow in color with a thick fluffy white head. The nose shows off citrus in wheat though the nose is quite restrained. In the mouth it is medium-bodied with nice balance and crispness while retaining a nice level of density. It comes off as pretty simple but well-made and enjoyable. ryan (1673), Beltsville, Maryland, USA Jul 6, 2008 courtesy of kmweaver. Cloudy pale body with a small beige head. The nose is light citrus and doughy malts. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with light lemon, bread, biscuit and lightly spicy yeast. Medium/light body is round with moderate carbonation. wickedpete (514), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA Jul 6, 2008 Thanks to Ken for this one. Clear gold body. Sweet citrus and bubblegum aroma. Flavor is light, a weak bitterness, honey. Light and refreshing. argo0 (6024), Washington DC, USA Jul 3, 2008 (12oz bottle, thanks kmweaver) Murky light amber body with minimal white head.
