(12oz bottle, thanks kmweaver) Small off-white head atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, some earthy, light brown. Taste is medium sweet, lemon, some grassy, light grain. Light-medium body.

Man this was a good amber by my standards. Pours an amber color(really?!)...aromas of yeast, caramel, golden raisins and very light and soft hops. Flavor is full and really damn nice. Caramel malt, light hops and some notes of honey. MMMMM.

Hazy, murky, muddy glowing orange color with a small white head. Nose of semi-musty crystal malt, some cracked grains, some wet bread, a bit of orange-scented fruity hops as well. Full, chewy body, nicely done, some orange and caramel malt flavors, a bit of banana as well, even some lemon and apple flavored hops when warmer. Overall very fresh and easy to like.

12-oz. Pours a slightly hazy--and slightly chill-hazed--coppery amber ale. Thick, rocky, sudsy tannish head with intermittent lace. Sour DMS nose...meh. Mild body on the light side of medium, subdued carb. Biscuit, toast, and rotten vegetables on the mid-palate. One of the worse cases of DMS I’ve seen.

On tap at CSAH. Poured clear medium amber with a short cap of whitish head. The aroma picked up sweeter caramel and dry hoppage (floral and herbal notes).. warmth brought out a little brown sugar and darker fruit. Sweeter caramel and lesser fruits in the flavor with ample floral and leafy bitterness.. caramel joins that bitterness on the medium-length finish. About medium-bodied on the palate with some sharp notes detracting from the enjoyment (especially on the back of the tongue).. spicy and flavorful, but just OK.

Bottle shared by kmweaver on 7/3/08: Pours a transparent bronze orange with a stringy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet, lightly toasty caramel malt with some earthy piny hops. Body starts with nice mild sweetness and some toasty nutty bitterness before a drier bittersweet finish. A decent amber.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass procured from the Binnys singles rack (Orland Park, IL). Very hazy dark amber pour with moderate tan head that dissipates to a film. Aromas are a hearty carmel malt feel with light floral hops. Taste is light bodied brew, carmel and biscuity malt with some light orange peel / marmalade hoppiness. Finishes light bodied and cereal, very sessionable. Ok.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with garthicus. Murky deep orange, avreage dmiinishing off-white head. Lush, citrus juice aroma, herbal hop bitterness. Taste follows, very grainy, really appealing. Thick body, nice grainy astringency - really good and devilishly easy to drink.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a hazy with floating yeast chunks typically carbonated dark orange colored body and an excellent lacing. The aroma was malty and sweet. The mouth feel was strongly tingly at the start and at the finish with strong sharp hops. The slightly strange flavor seemed a bit off-the-mark for me but still OK. It contained notes of hops and mild brown malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Sampled from 12-oz bottle at Dark Lord Days 2008, and shared by a non-RB’ian in line. Pours a semi-clear amber brown brew with an average off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and thin white ring. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some earthy herbs/spice, a touch of multi-grain biscuits and some flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of roasted caramel malt, a touch of white pepper and some sweet and flowery hops. Finish is slightly metallic with a roasted caramel and mild bitter aftertaste that quickly disappears.
