Its Ok for N/A, much better than Micelob Ultra (which was what I usualy drank when I didn’t want much Alcohol) Flavor is decent, but I’d rather have a Guiness.

Why would I go into a pub (The Clock, Solihull, West Midlands) and buy a non-alcoholic beer? Am I that desperate for a scoop? Perhaps it’s because the other beers on offer are Tetleys Smoothflow and Carling. I can see what they’re doing with this brew. It looks fine: old gold colour with a white head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The initial taste is quite a promising toast and marmalade... but then you taste the fizz and a chemical sweetness that reminds you of cheap candy and you note there’s no bitterness... The strangest thing is that I felt quite mellow and light-headed afterwards.

Bottle. Nice amber/dark gold body with good off-white foamy head. Barely detectable malty/grainy aroma. Taste is watery and carries CO2 hints that are typical of the non-alcoholic beers. Aftertaste is non-existent.

Ah... what better way to end St. Paddy’s Day than with an Irish N.A.? (I’ll need a few more of these to get my BAC down to my buddy Gene’s level... check yours <a href=http://www.ou.edu/oupd/bac.htm>here.)

Pours a bright whisky color with a white head that fades to a thin film. I used to work about a mile downwind of the <a href=http://www.encyclopedia.chicagohistory.org/pages/2628.html>Argo Corn Refinery in Summit, IL and the initial aroma of Kaliber brought back memories of chilly, damp mornings after the graveyard shift. So... roasty corn husks and additional corny by-products. Flavor is rather bland with malted notes, bitter edges and an overall sourness that hangs in the finish. Really not too bad, for what it is... anybody need a ride home?

Surprisingly dark amber for an NA with a firm white head. Sweet corn and vegetable aroma. Sweet flavor up front but with a little bitterness and a sweet finish. Slippery texture with minimal carbonation. I suppose for an NA this is isn’t bad but it’s really not a favorite of mine.

This is one of my favourite non alcoholic beers. But I must admit its an aquired taste, very much like Guinness whom brew this Lager. Its pours a darkish amber pint, and smells of corn but tastes really really like beer. Slightly sweet but not too sweet. All in all a good NA Beer.

Deceptively looks like beer. Has the smell and taste of the unfermented malt syrup used in extract homebrewing. Cloying doesn’t even begin to describe how overly sweet this one is. I wonder if I could pitch some yeast into this and actually make it into a beer...
