1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 gary07734 (500) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2010
This looks like, and has the carbonation and body of a lagerso middle of the road there. The taste however is pretty bad, I imagine if you took some poor lager, poured it over a bowl of cornflakes and drained the results through a seive you would have something very similar to this. Bad, corn-like, slightly sulphurous background, slightly bitter finish that alludes towards a lager.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2010 It’s a typical near-beer, though better than an o’douls or bud light. Not a whole lot to say
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Drake (4802) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUN 29, 2010
12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market, Charlottesville, VA on 4/23/10. Pours a clear pale golden color with a medium sized head. Decent head retention and lacing. The aroma is full of cereal-like grainy notes. Some nuttiness and toastiness as well. The taste is sweet grainy notes and water. Very thin and sweet almost to the point of being cloying, but not quite there. Really disappointing.

Rather smoky. And dirty. And just plain foul. A little caramel. Some moldy bread as well.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 3fourths (6215) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 2, 2010
75 calories. smells and tastes like a combination of düsseldorf malzbier (light caramel sweetness, stewed barley, maple) and cooked corn. has an aspirin and aspartame flavor. gross. I load it up with lemon and lime to make it palatable. not really funny that I rate this higher than the pagosa pow pow imperial ipa, because I’d rather drink this than that bile any day.
1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 Rustyham (1302) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 27, 2010
Worst smelling beer ever- this smells like a bowl of foul vagina, old cheese, and beef stroganov. Flavor is also terrible- like newspaper and trash-water. i’m not finishing this. If I have to drink NA, i’m gong for a Buckler. Bottle from Whole Foods, Nashville, in case you want find it for whatever reason.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 poisoneddwarf (881) - Rathdrum, Idaho, USA - MAR 13, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 14, 2010 12 oz bottle into English pint. This is my pacer beer, designed to keep me from getting too intoxicated tonight, drank right after Deschutes Jubelale 2010 and before whatever else alcohoholic I have ahead of me in my near future. Aroma is very malty, sugary, nasty gym locker. Pours golden with a thick head and nice lacework. Head dissipates fairly quick, leaving a nice collar of foam. It tastes exactly like sweet potatoes, folks. That’s right, a drink more akin to carbonated Thanksgiving treats than actual beer. I’m going to give it an above average score just for being different, not that I will ever voluntarily drink this again. Very highly carbonated and oily. Another reason I bought this bottle is so I can taste-test non-alcoholic brews, that way I can figure out which one I like best for those nights when my wife wants to have a little fun and I’m stuck being the designated driver. Kaliber is definitely not in the front running for that position, unfortunately. I now know that. O’doul’s Amber is still on top, surprisingly. I figured the makers of Guinness could outdo Anheuser-Busch with this style, but I was wrong.
0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 Sigmund (3495) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - MAR 13, 2010
330 ml green bottle, bought in Sweden. Crystal clear very pale yellow colour, big to moderate white head. Typical n/a beer aroma of over-boiled vegetables and baby maize porridge. Thin and watery mouthfeel. The flavour has notes of over-boiled vegetables and wet cardboard, hardly any bitterness. Terrible.
