2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 MikeKeller (404) - Kemi Rock City, FINLAND - FEB 17, 2010
Bottle from Systembolaget. Pale golden beer with a quickly dissapearing white head. Strong sweet aroma is a bit odd, never smelled anything like this, a bit like tea or something. The taste is also very sweet and a bit hoppy too. It’ has some body and palate is nice for alcohol free beer.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 TheBeerGod (3960) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - FEB 16, 2010
Bottle. Amber pour with a short white head. Aroma is grainy with stewed veggies and maybe canned meat. Taste is also very grainy with soft malt notes and a light metallic tinge. After the first couple sips, the flavor blends together. Mainly cereal, grains, sweet malt, and light metallic notes. Body is light-medium and bubbly like carbonated water. Slight caramel towards the end along with more grains, cereal notes and bitter notes.
1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 brenn79 (858) - Idaho, USA - JAN 23, 2010
12 oz. bottle- Pours dark golden with a great head, aroma is of dirty sweaty socks, I took one whif and thats all I could take. The flavor is worse than the smell, I actually gagged after one sip, the worst tasting beer I’ve ever had hands down. I went into this with an open mind, I was not going to give this a low score because it was a NA, but I had no choice. It sucks because with the exception of the lacing it really was a nice looking beer. Drain pour for sure!
1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 kenb (1102) - Oregon, USA - JAN 22, 2010
Pours a nice clear amber with a large chunky beige head. Taste is cereal, toast, tea and a spice i cannot put my finger on..almost some subtle ginger and cinnamon? Not quite but that is all i can come up with. Body is light, carbonation is way too high, almost like a soda. Not horrible, but give me a Beck’s NA or St Pauli NA over this any day.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 scooterbub (532) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - JAN 3, 2010
12 ounce bottle. Pours a golden color with a decent, foamy, white head. Taste is of malt, caramel, corn and some hops. Fairly sweet. Slightly bitter finish. Similar aroma. Thin body. Pretty good and fairly enjoyable. One of the better NA beers out there.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 CanIHave4Beers (2000) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - DEC 28, 2009
Perhaps the best non alcoholic beer I’ve had yet? Pours kind of an orange color with a big head and some lace. the head falls flat after a few minutes and the lace seems to skin away into the beer as well. the aroma is some cereal and some vegetal notes with some molasses and generally pretty faint and boring. The flavor is toast, molasses; some Lipton iced tea, and some cereal. The beer is husky flavored and has a very very mild hop character. This beer isn’t nearly as thin as I expected. If I ever had to drink an NA this would be one of them that I would consider for regular consumption.
