2008-09-03. Copper amber boy with a modest white head that fades. Very sweet aroma, burnt caramel notes. Flavour of sweet raisins, muted caramel, notes of oxidation? Average palate. Not nearly as awful as it could be but I don’t want more either. Mabel ordered it and I couldn’t turn it away. Sigh - Pure ratings whoredom. We left most of it in the bottle in favor of ordering something else. Bottle at Skagway Brewing Co.

Ok thats eerie, I got an email form Tourism Ireland right after entering this rating! hehe

Medium very white head does not last. Copper body. Wet cardboard and pumpernickel aroma. Lightly acidic pumpernickel and cardboard taste with medicinal notes. Dryish aftertaste of nothing. Some sweetness. Watery body, harsh mouthfeel. Not too in-your-face unpleasant. (0.33l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

Low alcohol lagers do come in for a lot of stick on these pages, but this is ok the flavour is a bit boring but its not bad if you need to go non alcoholic.

Did not see this was non-alcoholic. Thankfully I only bought a single bottle. Pours a red copper color with almost no head and no lacing. Aroma is kinda a bit of molasses and not much else. Flavor is sweet and malty with a bit of a nutty flavor too it. Not very good since it seems to missing carbonation and a little light on weight in your mouth.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2008 (33cl bottle called kaliber sin, <1% alc. licensed brewed by heineken spain.) label mentions diageo ireland as licesee. faint aroma, but aroma is good for a nonalc. flavor is watery but nice sweet and with some hoppy bitterness, which unfortunately does not last into the aftertaste. very decent low alc.

Bottle 0,33l. Pale golden colored. A large creamy head that lasted. Modest sweet malty aroma. Flavor of candy and malt. Hardly any bitterness.

(bottle) light-medium gold with white head. A little malt aroma. Flavor is lager malt. Best of the near beers that I’ve had.

Bottle pours a clear amber/rust color with a foamy off-white head. Aroma reminds me of pumpernickle bread. Flavor has a hint of honey, and roasted malt. Although I wouldn’t choose this over a beer with alcohol it’s an Interesting alternative to the standard N/A varieties out there.
