dp (486), uniontown, Ohio, USA Mar 17, 2008 none of the disgustingness that usuallly goes with a non-alcohol beer, roasty malts, good after-taste, kind of filling
mabel (1662), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 21, 2008 [1656-20080903] 12floz bottle. Honey sweet flowers aroma has notes of raisin. Clear, dark orange body with a quick white foamy head. Honey and dandelions flavour is mostly honeyed raisins and corn grains. Light body. Seems well-made but not enjoyable with its super honey.
(@ Skagway brewpub; Skagway, AK) fidel (203), Livermore, California, USA Sep 19, 2008 Light amber, malty, little nutty, little caramel, funky, skunky, cardboard, dry. AgentSteve (831), SF Bay Area, California, USA Sep 18, 2008 Thanks to Fidel for providing a style that I need to rate. Now I don’t have to buy a 6 pack! Very attractive pour of golden caramel and very thin off white head. The nose isn’t to good, with some malt and cardboard. The flavor is about the same. Glad I got that over with. jerc (3212), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 11, 2008 2008-09-03. Copper amber boy with a modest white head that fades. Very sweet aroma, burnt caramel notes. Flavour of sweet raisins, muted caramel, notes of oxidation? Average palate. Not nearly as awful as it could be but I don’t want more either. Mabel ordered it and I couldn’t turn it away. Sigh - Pure ratings whoredom. We left most of it in the bottle in favor of ordering something else. Bottle at Skagway Brewing Co.
Ok thats eerie, I got an email form Tourism Ireland right after entering this rating! hehe larsga (2293), Oslo, Norway Sep 9, 2008 Medium very white head does not last. Copper body. Wet cardboard and pumpernickel aroma. Lightly acidic pumpernickel and cardboard taste with medicinal notes. Dryish aftertaste of nothing. Some sweetness. Watery body, harsh mouthfeel. Not too in-your-face unpleasant. (0.33l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)
