2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 oz bottle on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. This is their version of Miller lite... corn-tasting, generic pale lager with mild bitterness. The "Extra" or Gold version is slightly more bitter but otherwise tastes the same as the regular version.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
11/28/07 From the bottle, Great Exuma Bahamas. Aroma has high DMS, green apple character and strong corniness. Appearance is clear gold with no head. Flavor is tart, bittering is more noble hop with earthiness not normally found in a light lager, medhigh with sweet malt balance, somewhat artificial. Mothfeel is low bodied with very high carb texture and low creaminess. Liked this, even for a style I’m not a huge fan of, like a microbrewed malt liquor.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is the greatest beer on earth. After drinking just 2 or 3 of these beers, you will feel like you are in another world. The alcohol may only say 7%, but there is some magic ingredient in there. The locals do not drink it because they see what it does to the tourists. If you are in the Bahamas, you must try it. It is not availble anywhere else.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Really not much difference from the original Kalik. Slightly stronger ABV. Small malty aromas, somewhat skunky out of the can. A pretty miserable beer. I preferred the Light to the other two.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a little stronger than the regular kalik. Very refreshing. Sweet honey and malt in flavor. Same pleasant grainy malt aroma. This is interesting and I think it gets a bad rap from the RB crowd.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle: Clear gold, light white head, no lacing. Nose of skunk, sulfur and cheap corny alcohol. The flavor is thin and malty, crisp, fairly light and watery. The finish all skunk. Meh.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bahama-brewed, despite limited availability still tastes plain and is very expensive, high alcohol percentage noticeable to the palate, very drinkable, light

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A drinkable, though hardly commendable, brew. Tastes like malted corn, not unlike regular Kalik--though the higher alcohol content and the heat it brings through makes it much better than that swill.
