Our tropical lager is the best selling beer in the Bahamas, with good reason. Since Kalik was launched in 1988, it has by recognized by the International Institute for Quality Selections with three consecutive Monde Section Gold Medals for Quality.

Bottle. Tastes like bready malt, dough, sweet corn, and faint citrus. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet corn, grassy, and doughy malt.

In the Bahamas in Nassau. Long day at the Atlantis swimming with the family. Bought one going back into the boat. Standard pale lager thatís decent for the situation.

Bottle from First Choice Liquor 300616. I could imagine if you were sitting on a golden sandy beach under the blazing Carribean sun in the Bahamas this beer would probably taste like the best beer in the world. Unfortunately I am not in the Bahamas and this beer tastes any but good.

Bottle, as Kalik Crisp. Very pale gold with a sudsy white head. Aroma is grainy with some cardboard, slight but definite hop notes of lemon and light spices. And the slight hop notes are there in the taste too, but thatís about it. Thereís mild lollyish sweetness thatís a bit papery. Some bitterness at the end. The bottle claims thereís malt in this but you wonder. Poor for a pale lager.

Poured a crystal clear pale golden colour with a two-finger bright white foamy head that diminished slowly and laced OK. Carbonation high with medium to coarse bubbles. Aroma strongly of grain/corn and hints of light malt; no obvious hops. Taste is slightly sweet, bland and a bit salty; no real hops bitterness. Light body. Crisp, smooth, refreshing and sweet with a hint of tartness on the finish.

12oz bottle brought back from the Bahamas thanks to Timmy! Pours a clear golden yellow with a finger of foamy bright white head. I can smell the skunkiness as soon as I opened the bottle. All I get from the aroma is straight skunk. Probably the skunkiest beer Iíve ever had. Taste of sweet grain, bad lemons, and loads of skunk. Thanks for the rate Tim, but this is a total drain pour!

Even drinking this during a two week stint in the Bahamas doesnít really make it drinkable.

Given to me by Maxbier. Didnít bother pouring into glass, drank from the clear bottle. Color is yellow with some white foam. Light malt and skunky aroma. Flavor is pretty much the same. Itís an island beer. I could drink a lot of these if I was on an island but standing in 2 feet of snow is a different story.

Rated from old notes. A light bodied lager, one dimensional, lacking any nuance, or, for that matter, real taste. Decent with food. Since youíre in the Bahamas (who would import this) try it with some spicy jerked conch. The bottled version is better than the canned.
