Watery, high carbonation brew with sweet bubblegum on the nose. Fairly malty with some toast. In the end just another adjunct island lager.

If I learned anything from studying social sciences, itís that context matters. That absolutely applies to Kalik. Itís no more special than any other pale lager except for the fact that you are likely drinking it in the Bahamas. And that alone is worth its weight in gold.

AKORN (145) - Virginia, USA - AUG 28, 2014
Yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt and dough. Taste OK, like Corona with a stronger malt aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a pale gold with a high, quick-dissipating, white head. Nose is Pepe Le Pew, canned corn, and generic lemon juice. On the tongue, itís adjunct, tinfoil, and not much else; thereís about as much substance to this as John Boehnerís legal arguments. Finish is non-existence. Iím sure this is supposed to be beer, but if this is the best the Bahamas can do, they should stick to conch fritters. But hey, itís a tick.

Ok. Smells of corn and skunk. Loose the skunk in the taste but their isnít much taste at all. Watered down mall, grain and corn maybe? Not much hops

Scrapersnbeer (1486) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Aroma is fruity and metallic and a little skunky, appearance is fizzy medium yellow. Slightly bitter and with metallic fruity sweetness. Crisp enough, pretty easy going, like many tropical beers distributed by Heineken.

Pours a crystal clear classic golden with a quickly dissipating white head. Skunky nose with some corn sweetness. Mouthfeel is smooth and wet with a mild microscrub from the carbonation. Skunky flavor. A bit watered down from a Corona. Some toffee noted along with some sweet corn.
