Kalnapilis Pilsner, created using the old, traditional Pilsner recipes, has a mild and pleasant flavour. A glass of pale, light Kalnapilis Pilsner is a true classic. On any occasion.

Aroma: semi dry with Lublin like hop profile, grainy backing, gentle tartness. Clean. 6+
Appearance: ultra clean golden brew with medium light top. Not very long lived.
Taste: medium light bodied with semi oily-creamy mid (dms) and clean mineral lighter walls. Gentle hop notes on top. Good fine carbonation that is well balanced. Refreshing.Generic but well made.

Bottle. Light dry hoppy aroma. Mild hoppy flavour. Light sweet finish. Not complex, but OK. Light bitterness in the finish. (Neringa Hotel room, Vilnius, 26.08.2011)

Very clear golden pour with unremarkable head. Very mild scent, just a touch of hops and fresh cut grass. Wet and watery and goes down quickly. A bit of a carbonation bite in the finish. Very clear brisk taste. A touch bitter and grassy. Actually way better than I expected this to be. For a european lager I find this very easy to drink.

My expectations were quite low. Pale, thin cereals, vegetal aroma. Light hops, light bitterness. Not offensive, drinkable.

(Rating #4281)

Purchased a few cans of this at the LCBO (one for the jam and another to rate at home). Did not mind it from the can. Now from the glass, pours a very light golden colour with a creamy white head, great retention and thick foamy lacing. Aromas of malt, corn and typical Euro pils hops (not the best of Saaz). Smooth mouthfeel, medium-light bodied. Malty taste with some light grass and maybe slight corn in the aftertaste. Not as good from the glass I guess. Average Euro Pilsner lager.

0,5 L can from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass. 12JL12.

App.: Clear very light golden with a decent bright white head. Aroma: Corn, grains cereals, a little peppery/gree hops, typical European macro-lager. Palate: Medium body, fine, somewhat peppy effervescence, a little Pils smoothness. Flav.: Decent very light malts, some grassy, very slightly peppery Noble hops, a touch of grape-like fruitiness, not too bad; dry with minimal bitterness and a mineral, vague malt, faintly grassy hop finish.

Another can of “meh”. Thanks, LCBO.

Really more enjoyable than i thoght it would be. Then again its a hot summer day and im drinking it out of a paper bag at afrofest. Pissy pale colour. Taste has some skunky pilsner taste which makes it enjoyable at least.tall can lcbo.

500 ml can from LCBO. Pours a bright pale golden colour with fairly large white head. Aroma is slightly harsh grains and grass. Flavour is likewise. Slightly metallic. Count on the LCBO for another unmemorable European pale lager.
