Kalnapilis Pilsner, created using the old, traditional Pilsner recipes, has a mild and pleasant flavour. A glass of pale, light Kalnapilis Pilsner is a true classic. On any occasion.

Very clear golden pour with unremarkable head. Very mild scent, just a touch of hops and fresh cut grass. Wet and watery and goes down quickly. A bit of a carbonation bite in the finish. Very clear brisk taste. A touch bitter and grassy. Actually way better than I expected this to be. For a european lager I find this very easy to drink.

0,5l blik met nikos gedeeld in vilnius met nikos. Goudgeel geen noemenswaardige kraag. Geur licht alcohol en graan. Smaak is zacht citroen zuurtje in de smaak. Mwah

Bottle from an East European grocers in Bedminster, Bristol. Pale gold in colour with a big, frothy, white, head and moderate fizziness. Light, grass and sweet corn aroma, with a touch of hop. Flavour had more corny malts to start, a hint of lemon, and the finish was moderately bitter. An ok pale lager.

.500ml Bottle. Holy shit this ain’t a Pils, more an industrial style East euro bland as hell pale lager ,with few redeeming qualities other than it is more dry and bitter than sweet . nose of grass, sugars, peach, wood. resembles all gold lagers everywhere. Tastes fucken soulless . easy to chug I guess and clean. not too skunky considering its in a green bottle.

DAA; Take away from Vilnius. Can 0,568 l. Pours clear golden with a moderate to large frothy, moderate lasting and lacing white head. Aroma is malt, hay and light citrus . Taste is moderate sweet and bitter with a short lasting finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

19.2 oz can (1 imperial pint, 568ml), Rimi, Vilnius. Aroma is very faint, almost lemony. Taste is extremely subdued, not at all hoppy as promised, but light and indeed almost refreshing. Sessionable, usable stuff at this price point

I’m not sure what I’ve done to Lithuania that it treats me so mean. This is the second beer from the country that I’ve picked up in my government run liquor store in Toronto (home of Fat Man Rob Ford) & this brew just hurts my feelings. Why? Well cuz it sucks & tastes like balls dipped in sweet corn water. Also, cuz it calls itself a pilsner when it is really a pale lager. And worst of all, this mediocre swill gets shelf space in Canada instead of some interesting import or tasty local brew. Damn. That hurts. And here’s something no one is thinking about: how come there is only one rating from the home country (I know they’re active from the response to my last rating from Lithuania -- they agreed with my critique, by the way -- according to them, we get their shitty stuff via import while they enjoy the good). Avoid.

Van de tap in een restaurant in Klaipeda. Goudgeel, aardige kraag, weinig aroma. Smaakt beetje bedorven, lichtfruitig. Bijna geen hop of mout smaak. Niet zo goede pils
