Geruch neutral, malzig. Der Antrunk ist säuerlich-vollmundig, malzig. Der Hauptteil wird malzig-röstmalzig-säuerlich. Schön vollmundig. Lecker. Auf der Zunge verbleibt eine trocken-säuerlich-röstmalzige-cremige Note. Gut abgestimmtes Süße-Herbe-Kombination.
--> Leckeres Bier!

Pours a dark brown color with a large off-white head. A odd aroma of almost sour malts. A toasted malt flavor, light chocolates, again a odd flavor. Lots of caramel. OK, not my thing.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Koelschtrinker (9998) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 18, 2011

bottle. Clear amber-golden colour, mid-sized head. Malty with hints of caramel and roasetd malts. Nice.

The bottle looks simple, but good. The beer in the glass is dark, almost black, nice head. Starts malty and strong, not too roasty, but quite sourish from the beginning. That makes the beer interesting. Also some notes of caramel and coffee. Well balanced and very drinkable. A great beer!

50 cL bottle. Pours golden amber with a diminished off-white head. Dried fruity aroma. Flavour is slight chemical but otherwise dried fruity with a roasted malt and chocolate flavour beneath. Ends with dominantly malty tones and not much bitterness.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear, deep orangey brown with a beige head. Chocolatey aroma. Medium body with roasted malt notes and a whiff of dark chocolate. Subdued bitterness. Nice one. 311007

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and straw, leading to a slightly dry finish. The flavor is not as good as the aroma suggests and the body is thin. Thanks Jacob Lövenlund.

Bottle. Deep copper coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Malty and sweet with notes of chocolate, hops and roasted feel. Very well balanced.
