Geruch neutral, malzig. Der Antrunk ist säuerlich-vollmundig, malzig. Der Hauptteil wird malzig-röstmalzig-säuerlich. Schön vollmundig. Lecker. Auf der Zunge verbleibt eine trocken-säuerlich-röstmalzige-cremige Note. Gut abgestimmtes Süße-Herbe-Kombination.

Bottle. Deep copper coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Malty and sweet with notes of chocolate, hops and roasted feel. Very well balanced.

The bottle looks simple, but good. The beer in the glass is dark, almost black, nice head. Starts malty and strong, not too roasty, but quite sourish from the beginning. That makes the beer interesting. Also some notes of caramel and coffee. Well balanced and very drinkable. A great beer!

Bottled, 500ml at Kalt Loch Brewery, Miltenberg am Main, Bavaria. Chestnut with off white head. This proved to be a sweet, malty beer with a slightly nutty character, some fruitiness, a bit of a mish mash but reasonable.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and straw, leading to a slightly dry finish. The flavor is not as good as the aroma suggests and the body is thin. Thanks Jacob Lövenlund.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

(bottle) Clear, darkest amber colour with a mid-sized foamy beige head. Sweet, slightly roasty malty aroma with caramel, liquorice, hoppy hints and a faint sourish touch. Bitter flavour, dark malty, moderately roasted taste with caramel on a herbal hoppy background; dry and bitter, slightly sour, malty finish with a restrained hoppiness. This one has somewhat character but is also not overwhelming.
