Light banana, slightly clovelly well made hefe. Light and refreshing. A bit sour than usual.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Grima (1864) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - FEB 13, 2012
Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Koelschtrinker (8491) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 18, 2011
Sommerweizen!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kappldav123 (3760) - Markkleeberg, GERMANY - FEB 10, 2010
The bottle looks simple, but good, the beer in the glass light orange, nice creamy head. Starts fresh and zippy, very fruity, quite sourish. Notes of apple and lemon. Modest yeasty. Finish a bit milder, but still intense fruity. Unusual but good hefeweizen!
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 ectuohy27 (379) - ESTONIA - FEB 1, 2010
fantastic hefeweizen--a nice surprise in a random small store in Hawthorne, NJ...gentle cloveness, not so much banana in this one, more than a hint of citrusness and "hoegaardenicity", aka wheatness...reminds me of the Franziskaneren i was encouraged to try by Christoph the Bavarian
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 alexanderj (3055) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - JAN 12, 2010
Bottle; from Big Lots Bavarian variety pack. Poured a dull, ruddy amber color with an off white head. Aroma of wheat, sweet malt, wet bread and a bit of banana. Flavor had quite a variety of flavors; wheat, banana, vanilla, earthiness, a bit of spice/lemon and some breadiness. Strange, but nice finish. Worth the dollar I spent.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 2, 2010
Bottle:   Hazy straw, a little dirty, HUGE fluffy white head, light lacing, little to no carbonation.   This one smells delicious, loads of Banana and Cloves.   Its about two feet away from me and I can easily smell
it from here.   Lots of Banana on the tongue, some Clove, certainly wheaty.   Quite airy and spritzy, not as heavy as other examples.   A light and flavorful example for sure, but easily more bubbley than others.
Refreshing, and one that would really work well on a hot day.   *BURP*   I would prefer it a little less airy, but as is I still find it pretty damn tasty.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 argo0 (10388) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 29, 2009
33cl bottle. Medium white head atop murky apple cider body. Aroma is medium sweet, apple, lemon, bubblegum, some banana, light clove. Taste is moderately sweet, bubblegum, some banana, lemon, light clove, cookie. Creamy light-medium body.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 obguthr (3225) - Poquoson, Virginia, USA - OCT 22, 2009
Smells of creamed bananas with vinegar on the edge. Hazy yellow, thin white head. Banana and lemon flavor. Tart finish. Refreshing and very sessionable. Not a particularly strong hefe, though.
