Svesse (5845) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 13, 2008
(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with grassy, floral hops and underlying malt sugar. Malty taste with floral, grassy hops in a fairly short finish. Thin body. The slightly sharp and fruity (tropical fruit) notes of malt sweetness are a bit annoying, but still a decent 3,5%.

Canned. A very decent lager for 3.5%. Dry and flowery hops. Not much of a body, but what do you expect?

Gr0ve (2113) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 23, 2008
500 ml bottle. Rich golden colour. Medium-sized fine-laced white head. Soft and rich grainy aroma. Feels a little sweet. Initial flavours are light and with a hint of malts. Body is very light. Hops make their precence towards the end with a crisp hop bitterness. Not bad, but could have used a little more body.

Can. Pours a golden bit hazy colour with a nice medium sized white head. Bit sweet fruity aroma. The flavour is fresh with a soft frutiness, some sweetness and maltiness. A pleasant beer for 3,5%.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2008 (Bottle) Pours yellow to pale golden. Sweet and light hoppy aroma with tones of grass, honey and a tiny touch of flowers. Light undertones of fruit, acid and something citrus like. Light, malty flavour with a citric acid sting. Some grass in the flavour as well. Well carbonated with a light body. Light dry, metallic and acid finish. Second try: (Bottle) Pours golden with a white head. The aroma is of grain/straw-like malt and grass/hay-ish hops alongside light tones of vegetables. A note of cardboard is also present. The flavour is of light straw- like malt and grassy hops. Light sweet, light acidic and tiny bitter. The mouthfeel is watery and medium carbonated with a light crisp and dry finish. Light bodied.

Bottled. Clear golden colour. Frothy head. Light fruity, citric aroma. I believe some hops were thrown into this one. Good grainy flavour with pale malty(light that is) profile and dash of hops. Although it’s pretty watery, I’m amazed by the aroma and flavour. I’d call this a diluted German Pilsner.

A golden body and a white head. This one had a better tast from hops then I expected.

(50 cl can - think I purchased it at Hemköp in Stockholm) Clear golden color, white head. Sweet but mostly acidic scent. Taste is not that bad, malt and a bit sugar. Rather thin body, but not all that bad for a weaker beer. Low bitterness. Not that I think I’ll start drinking a lot of 3.5% beers for taste when there are so much better stuff out there, but this one wasn’t half bad, could be an option for haveing a beer if you know you need to drive an hour after. Only the acidic scent that keeps it down.
