Golden color, small white head. Metallic, hayish and grainy aroma. Crisp carbonation. Hayish-grassy hops, pale buttery malts, some metal. Leaves malty aftertaste. A bit thin mouthfeel for 5% brew.

(bottle, as König Ludwig Hell) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Moderately sweet grainy and doughy malty aroma with shy notes of citrus and spicy hops. Slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Strawy malty base with a whiff of grains; quite dry and slightly bitter finish. unfortunately with notes of metal; otherwise a drinkable Helles (04.VI.09).

Bottle. The aroma is fruity, sweet, bananas, not much yeast. The head is large, white and foamy with a long duration. The body is clear and yellow. The taste is light bitter, later on it gets more sour, the duration is relatively long. The beer is creamy, light and with normal carbonation. A mild beer.

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It pours a clear, pale golden body with a small, white head. Grainy on the nose with a sweetness resembling fruit syrup. Sweet, fruity and grainy flavor with some bitterness. A touch of pinecones too. Medium body and almost sticky. Sweet, grainy finish with some hops giving a hint of bitterness. Too sweet I think, but certainly drinkable. (090219)

Bottled (as König Ludwig Hell from beerangel.de). Golden colour, small white head. Golden colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is eggy, malty and hayish with some very mild notes of saltwater. Flavour is hops, a bit eggy, quite bready and also some slight rubbery notes.
