DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Aug 2, 2008 Bottled, the brewed under licence Croatian version. Distinctly lemony, musty hops on snout with a hint of ganja leafiness. Brazenly citrussy for a sensible Germanic pils, to the same extent as a watery pasteurised English GA (Young’s Kew?). Refreshingly fruity pils/pale lager driven by the hops and not cereally malts and adjuncts for a change. Mandarin/satsuma hints, and a nibble of quality here. ekstedt (1785), Göteborg, Sweden Jun 13, 2008 Sampled at GBF 2008. Pale golden, medium white head. Bready malt aroma with some grassy hops. Quite dry with moderate bitterness. Good lawnmaker beer. gnoff (2560), Göteborg, Sweden Jun 13, 2008 (Bottled at GBF 2008) On June 12, 2008 As the licensed brewed "Kaltenberg 4,8% Vol" brewed by Swedish Krönleins Clear straw color, white head. Malty, sweet some corn scent. Malty, sweet taste. Dry aftertaste. Rather bitter. A bit moussy body, medium co2. Enjoyit (1087), Vadum, Denmark May 14, 2008 Croatia-version. Pale yellow of color with a white head. An aroma of DMS, hay, corn and bitter notes. A flavor of malt, korn and hops. A pretty ordinary pils. holdenn (1138), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 23, 2007 Bottle bought in Zadar, Croatia on our honeymoon and enjoyed on the balcony of our apartment overlooking the Adriatic. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Malty aroma of light grain. Clean flavors. Malty with a little carmel, and some hop residue. Decent.
