Caramel, burned sugar and a hint of aromatic hops in the aroma. Nice chestnut coloring, lowish head. Heavy roasted malt, caramel and coffeeground flavors, brandy burn towards the aftertaste. Relatively light on body and mouthfeel

A truely great bock beer experience, a very sweet honneulike taste combined with a very nice appearance. All in all very good.

Tasted this beer on the Bockbeer festival in Utrecht, The Netherlands, on draft. On of the German bock beers at the festival. Nice dark-brown color. The head disappeared quickly (might be the glass). The flavour contained lots of alcohol. Nice sweetness (malt sugar). The beer tasted as if it had some ageing (Port/sherry tones) and also had some fruit in the flavour.

Draught. Body is clear medium brown. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, toasted bread), with a light note of apple. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Off keg or just a lackluster sourish beer? I may never know.

Sweeeet... first US rater for this one. Found it on tap at the Falling Rock in Denver on my way through, and it was named Kaltenberg Ritterbock. Had a nice glowing red body and a surreal thick bleach white head. Very smooth overall, with spiced cherries and strawberry flavor, and a mild creamy aroma. Doesn't resemble a bock, but is still a great winter beer.

Port, raisin and prune aroma. Ruby color, light brown head, good lace. Very full, sweet, very alcoholic but not annoying, prune and plume. Long lasting finish, thick, alcohol bitterness and a little burn.

Nose of burned malts, bit fruity too. Dark brown coloured, brown head, dissapears quickly. taste is very malty, roasted. Uninteresting dry finish.

Dark and malty. Very thick. Not my favorite bock.

Full bodied beer. Malty, but not too sweet. Raisin and licorice. Fine hopbitter finish. You hardly notice the alcohol, but when you stand up after having a few of these...
