Draught at the brewpub. Mild earthy aroma. Clear golden colour. Small white head. The flavour starts off fruity, turning slightly citric. Not grainy, more like fruit acid. OK balanced, but slightly bland. 6 3 6 3 12

Pale clear yellow color, small steady creamy white head. Citrusy nose with hints of sweetness. Fizzy. Nicely citrusy, leafy hoppy brew. Light palate. Rounded sweetish bitterness in the aftertaste. Refreshing and good.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Koelschtrinker (8481) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 12, 2011
Frisch hopfig-würziger Antrunk. Im Mittelteil wässriger, gleichzeitig hopfiger. Prickelnd, viel CO2. Grasig-herb, natürlich. Hier wieder hopfiger werdend, was auch den herben Ton stärker erscheinen lässt. Etwas fruchtig, herbes Finish mit bitterem Ansatz.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 8, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Crunchy hay and wooden hop dryness surround watery passages in this clean and balanced Helles.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the clear pale gold.
-The nose is very subtle. More aromatic hops would not hurt.
-The body is lean and prone to "suffering" big gulps.
-The malts are biscuity at times.
-The overall flavor profile is too shy to make this a compelling pint.
-This is by no means a bad brew, but compared to the blond lagers brewed a few hours away in Vienna or in the Czech Republic, it is rather ordinary.
On tap at the brewpub.

Pours a pale golden colour with small white head. Sweet malty and pleasant hoppy aroma with moderate bitterness in the finish. Good thirst- quencher while you’re waiting for waiter at least 25-30 minutes to order a food.

Draught at Kaltenberg Sörház & Étterem, Budapest, Hungary. Clear pale golden colour with small to average size white head. Honey sweetness, some spices and some grassy bitterness. Slightly stale malty flavour accompanied with grassy bitterness and mild home brew touch. Very soft carbonation. Grassy bitter aftertaste.

Pale cloudy golden colour with decent head. Pale malty nose, fruity and flowery hops. Fruity flavour with creamy body and low bitterness. Tasty and elegant herbal hop profile. Smooth but not really crisp. In short, I just liked it.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Marko (3612) - Split, CROATIA - APR 12, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Poured a nice pale golden colour, small persistent white head. The nose was odd, yeast, hop (kinda reminding me of capers overall). Grainy, almost husky taste, surrounded by a nice lemony hopiness. Dry, almost salty finish, with a nice bitterness in the end. Didn’t thrill me, but I thought it was quite nice anyway. Compared to the average fare in Hungary, this is brilliant.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gunnar (3586) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JUL 31, 2010
On tap at Kaltenberg Sörözö, Budapest. Pours clear light golden with a big creamy white head, which disappear totally after 2 minutes. Nice malty aroma, with some light grassy hops. Taste is light sweet with minimal bitterness towards the end. Low carbonation. Watery mouthfeel. Nothing special.
