Bottle shared during the Grand Tasting at the RBNG-event at Fredrik 3.’s Hall. Tiny layer at the top of a dark brown coloured body. Dark malty sweetness on the nose, herbal dry. Taste of dried fruits like raisin, dark malts and some spices. Not enough roastiness to the ending to keep all the sweetness at bay. Full bodied. Nice in small doses (Fredriksten festning, Halden 15.02.2014).

From a shared 100cl bottle at RBNG-14. Pours slightly hazy brown with a small, white head. Sweet and malty with hints of roasted malts and raisins. Alcohol well integrated and it seems balanced and quite pleasant. (2014-02-15 - Grand Tasting, Fredriksten festning, Halden)

Bottle sample @ RBNG-14. Dark brown body, small white head. Nose is licorice, herbs, schnaps, dark malts, caramel, hints of chocolate and leather. Taste is herbs, licorice, dark chocolate, caramel, cocoa, hints of dark malts. Full body, high carbonation. All in all, a decent dark ale but very unbalanced in its characteristics.

Sampled from bottle @ The Hague Tasting. Opaque brownish color, small light brown. Smell and taste malts, clearly wine influences, lightly hops, but a touch of sour as well. Decent body and carbonation.

Smells of malt extract with caramel and dark malt. Full oily body. Taste of alcohol and heavy malt with cherries and nutty lemon ness . The finish burns precious. Lots of gut rot.

Bottle at the "Lets celebrate the fact that Dean is already the Mayor of M&S Den Haag even though it’s only been open for 24 hours tasting!". Poured a hazy dark brown with no life at all. The aroma is vinegar like with some molasses and light malt. The flavour is medium sour light bitter with a rich liqourice awful malt bitter palate. Truly awful.

Bottle shared at the "Lets celebrate the fact that Dean is already the Mayor of M&S Den Haag even though it’s only been open for 24 hours tasting!". Pours cloudy brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, overripe fruits. Flavour is heavy sweet and the mouthfeel is like molasses. A bit cack.
