3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
At a tasting, many thanks Cuso, smallish head, very cloudy deep rusty red, aroma of bread, cake, light raisins, dried apricots and some oxjdised notes blending in, flavor of dried fruits with some vanila and light caramel, strong cakey jammy maltiness quite sweet almost cloying. Quite nice but a bit heavy, like a fruit tart.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle (from trade with Cuso I think!). Pours a deep amber with minimal off-white head. Taste is sweet but balanced with a caramel maltiness underpinning things. Very drinkable for a barley wine. Would search this out again.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thanks to my summer secret santa MisoW for that one. Label says B27 Barley Wine. Beer in the glass brownish, nice head. Sweet aroma. Starts strong, quite sweet, notes of sweets and bourbon, some liquorice. Finish too sweet and alcoholic. Not my favourite.
