3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 1 liter, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. It pours an unclear, brown body under a small, beige head. The aroma is mostly malty, with caramel, dark bread and some piney hops. Some alcoholic notes in the flavor, with caramel, roasted malts and a pleasant bitterness. Pretty warming on the palate, full-bodied and sweet, with a nice carbonation level. Lasting, warming finish. Overall, way too warming, but it’s nice anyway. Sweet and caramel-ish. Like it. 140215

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2 Bottles (0.33l: diky, Cuso!; 1.0l #657, diky, pane Stehliček! [Prvni Pivni Tramvaj v Praze]):Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, small off-white to yellowish head, dried fruits, port-wine and some herbs in the sweet nose, some oaky flavours, too; solid sweet flavour with a little tartness, full bodied and a bit sticky; sweet vinous finish with a slight alcohol-burn and a tinge of vanilla and tannic acid in the aftertaste. Very good pivo, unfortunately absolutely not my favourite...

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sampled from bottle @ The Hague Tasting. Opaque brownish color, small light brown. Smell and taste malts, clearly wine influences, lightly hops, but a touch of sour as well. Decent body and carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared during the Grand Tasting at the RBNG-event at Fredrik 3.’s Hall. Tiny layer at the top of a dark brown coloured body. Dark malty sweetness on the nose, herbal dry. Taste of dried fruits like raisin, dark malts and some spices. Not enough roastiness to the ending to keep all the sweetness at bay. Full bodied. Nice in small doses (Fredriksten festning, Halden 15.02.2014).

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Slowly building tan head, over fully hazy cola-coloured beer. Nutty, spicy notes, lightly curry-like spices, tad bready, dark malts and liquorice. Very complex, vinous taste, with bitter hops, old wood, fusels ŕ gogo, dark chocolate; and again a spicy surrounding, difficult to say which ones - juniperberry being definitely a possibility. Not really full-bodied, but very slick, viscous and lots of alcoholheat. Layered, long-lasting flavours into the aftertaste. Impressive to discover such a beer from Slovakia. Definitely one for the annals, and one to search for! Many, many thanks to Peter V. and his helpers!
