thank you MisoW for the bottle!! Pours a very dark brown with a nice tan head. Smells of molasses, dark fruit - like a dessert wine. Tastes of huge molasses, dark fruit ending a bit dry. Thick body with nice carbonation. Some interesting flavors but the sweetness is very high and is a bit tough to handle.

Bottle, 1 liter, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. It pours an unclear, brown body under a small, beige head. The aroma is mostly malty, with caramel, dark bread and some piney hops. Some alcoholic notes in the flavor, with caramel, roasted malts and a pleasant bitterness. Pretty warming on the palate, full-bodied and sweet, with a nice carbonation level. Lasting, warming finish. Overall, way too warming, but it’s nice anyway. Sweet and caramel-ish. Like it. 140215

Csapolva ittam. A színe zavaros bronz jellegű. 0 hab, 0 szénsav. Nem szép... Illata erősen szeszes ebből adódóan édes, valamint gyümölcsös és kellemes. A folyadék tompa, olajos és sűrű. Csípős (talán a tölgyhordó miatt), édes.

Sweet cherrylike aroma with christmassy spicy notes, wooden and light metallic spruce notes following as it warms - not entirely harmonic. Cloudy red brown, low head. Sour cherry entry, vineous oak notes, caramel, berries, vanilla, pipe tobacco, herbal finish. Fullbodied, sweet body, lightly carbonated, almost sticky. Quite interesting, starts a bit muddled, but flavors mesh after it warms up and breathes a bit - in the end it is almost a full fruity red wine.

33cl fliptop, thanks to Cuso for including this interesting specimen. Pours an unctuous deep red wine-acajou and shares more vinuous qualities with the Tokaji it has shared a barrel with. Nuts, figs and raisins reminiscent of an (aged) Belgian strong ale, mouthfeel and unctuous richness of a barley wine. not immediately apparent 10,5%, the "old"/stale feel still makes this more of a sipper. Well done, but not my cup of tea since too reminiscent of some of the said heavy Belgians I’d like to keep steering clear of.

2 Bottles (0.33l: diky, Cuso!; 1.0l #657, diky, pane Stehliček! [Prvni Pivni Tramvaj v Praze]):Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, small off-white to yellowish head, dried fruits, port-wine and some herbs in the sweet nose, some oaky flavours, too; solid sweet flavour with a little tartness, full bodied and a bit sticky; sweet vinous finish with a slight alcohol-burn and a tinge of vanilla and tannic acid in the aftertaste. Very good pivo, unfortunately absolutely not my favourite...

Aroma is rather malty with some woody notes. Flavour is rather malty with strong herbal tones and peppery notes. Like a doppelbock with spices and chili added. Interesting.

Shared bottle at RBNG-14. Pours almost clear brown, no head. Aroma is herbal malty. Taste is deep malty, vegetal, roasted malts, sweet, light alcohol burn at the finish. Nice for a sweet tooth.
