Bottle as pictured in my Trade #2 with the mad Slovak. Deep brown with some light. Steady pillars of carbonation still yield little head. Spotty lacing. Fruit / earth nose. Moderate body with light syrup about edges. Oak, earth and light faint plums. Yeah, a nice brew. Well put together.

Slowly building tan head, over fully hazy cola-coloured beer. Nutty, spicy notes, lightly curry-like spices, tad bready, dark malts and liquorice. Very complex, vinous taste, with bitter hops, old wood, fusels ŕ gogo, dark chocolate; and again a spicy surrounding, difficult to say which ones - juniperberry being definitely a possibility. Not really full-bodied, but very slick, viscous and lots of alcoholheat. Layered, long-lasting flavours into the aftertaste. Impressive to discover such a beer from Slovakia. Definitely one for the annals, and one to search for! Many, many thanks to Peter V. and his helpers!

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2012 Bottle 330 ml. Farebne plne do cervena so zakalom. Aroma jemne nasladla ale velmi vyvazena. Chut sladsia velmi aromaticka po obsiahnutych ingredienciach. Chutovo citit obsah alkoholu po prehltnuti v krku avsak neprebija ostatne. Telo plnsie sladsieho charakteru s prijemnym dozvukom. Celkovo najlepsie silne pivo co som pil.

Hazy brownish body, no head. Very sweet wine aroma, alcohol. Flavour has alcohol, wine sugar, malt. No imperial stout at all. Chocolate.

@ Főzdefeszt, Dark red coloured beer with a very thin head that early disappeared. There are spicy things, fruits, oak, pine and juniper in the aroma. The taste is quite complex with a lot of alcohol and notes of dark fruits, pine, hops and resin. The texture is oily and it’s full bodied.

bottle from cuso - thank you very much! Cloudy brown colour, small beige head. Herbal-malty aroma. Full-bodied, intensive, slightl ysweet malty flavours ominate. Lots of herbal accents, pine, resine, herbs. Quite a lot going on here behind the rather sweet malt flavours. Smooth palate, the velvety carbonation carries the flavours to your tastebuds in an ideal way. Well balanced, well crafted, the pine character makes this fascinating. Perhaps a tad sweet, but still superb stuff!

Draught at Főzdefeszt. Aroma of lots of fruits and some mints and herbals too. The taste is comlex too: some sweet vailla, strawberry and raspberry balanced with bitter hops. Long aftertaste pushes the fruity hops forward. Very good brew I’m glad I tried it, but I don’t understand why it was the most expensive at the whole festival.

Draught at the Főzdefeszt, Budapest, Hungary as Kaltenecker B27.
Murky brown colour with small tan head. Strong Bocky malty aroma with soy sauce and Surinamese Moksi Metti sauce. Bocky malty flavour with lots of sweetness, mild bitterness and no alcohol (in flavour). Slightly warming. Good but not grand. Quite expensive though (HUF 1.000,- / 100 ml).

Draught? or poured from a bottle? at the Főzdefeszt, ENORMOUS thanks to lord_totenkopf for this pricey bugger. Murky brown body with an off white head. Strawberry jam nose, in a nice way, not cloying. Smooth, distinctly fruity taste, raspberry jam this time. Not bad at all, only some light alcohol. Avoids the lack of drinkability some of the others at that level possess. These two returned my faith in the brewery!

Swing top bottle from Cuso, thanks! Brown color, hazy. Malt, caramel and raspberry sweets in the aroma. Thick and alcoholic fluid. Raspberry, berries, vinous notes. malt. Not too sweet. Caramel. massive beer with a sticky mouthfeel. But not my taste, I’m afraid.
