4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Gurthnar (606) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 7, 2013
Tap at Hostinec Richtar Jakub. Hazy darker yellow colour, white head. Aroma banana, vanilla, smoked ham. Taste is very nicely balanced. Banana, spicy, moderate amount of smoke and smoked ham, lightly sourish. Finish is rather spicy and smoky, sourish. Nice fuller body. My first rauchweizen and it made a pretty good impression. Nicely done.

Draft. Medium white head with cloudy apple cider body. Aroma is medium sweet, clove, some straw, light smoke. Taste is medium sweet, some straw, lemon, light clove. Light-medium body, low carbonation. Nice weizen, but didnt get enough smoke to warrant it being a rauch beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Brandman (1440) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 5, 2012
Dark orange body, white head. Aroma has banana, cloves, very light smoke. Bit smokiness in back, bit aftertaste. Surprising hoppiness, noble yeast. Quite watery when warms, nice beer, not usual smoked.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 Tim Webb (197) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2011
On draft at Piritos in Budapest. Soft and sweet, wheaty enough and with the smoked element subtle rather than Brunsick hammed. Still a bit droopy though, ending up feeling a bit too thin.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mattphilips (802) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 29, 2011

Looks like peach or apricot juice, with very minimal head. Aroma is modestly smokey and hidden cereals, fruits (citruses). Very balanced beer, not overwhelmed with smoke aroma (Im not a huge fan of that so thats a good point). Nice, special brew.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 rosenbergh (4655) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 8, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2011 Draught at the Főzdefeszt, Budapest, Hungary.
Hazy orange colour with small to average white head.
Yeast, wheat, smoke and banana in nicely balanced aroma.
Flavour is as good. Wheat, yeast, smoked ham, caramel and banana sweetness. Very nice balance. Smoke is not overruling as it sometimes does. This is frickin good!
1 000 ml PET bottle. From Roňava, Slovakia.
Almost as good from the bottle as it was from tap. Palate was a slightly watery though. Still very good brew.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Marko (3612) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 7, 2011
Főzdefeszt, Budapest, courtesy of lord_totenkopf, shared with him and mattphilips (thanks!). Poured an opaque apricot body. Bubblegum nose, quite malty, lightly smokey. Light pancetta in the taste, smokey bublegum, not the smokiest beer around but a well executed slightly smokey weizen. The Kaltenecker I liked the best that far. My type of beer I guess.
