1 000 ml bottle. From Cuso. Big thank you!
Dark reddish brown colour with tiny off-white head.
Malt, nuts and lots of Brown Ale elements in aroma.
Flavour is also like alcohol boosted nutty Brown Ale. Harsh maltiness, hints of metal and sugar. Alcohol is also present.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2012
(bottle, 100cl) Hazy, mahogany colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Roast-malty aroma with notes of chocolate and caramel. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Hearty roasty malt-character with notes of caramel, chocolate and marzipan; sweet and moderately roasty malty finish with masked alcoholic notes and a slightly hoppy and roasty bitterness. A tad too sweet for my liking. 27.XII.11

Dark brown body, light brown head. Some roasted notes, some berries. Metally, malty and raw acidic flavour. Gone bad?

draft in Budapest. first beer in town and its Slovakian. my notes say its "solidly nut brown", which I think means I either disagreed with it being labeled a porter or it fit more in with classic brown porter, regardless of gravity. comments on appearance: no lasting head. crisp, dry, toasty, nutty. all a good show early but the carbonation is quite rough, the acid moderately strong, the malt rough. syrupy caramel toffee nuts. noticeable
alcohol, and comes across as stick/bark-like and thorny... or something. Im in Budapest.

Draught on the 2nd Főzdefeszt, Bp.
Deep dark brown with a medium sized, creamy beige head.
Sweetish nose.
Caramel based aroma escorted by chocolate and alcohol, textures syrupy and light sticky.
The finish is rather sweet with alcohol and dark chocolate.
Not bad, but expected a bit more.

Darkish brown colour, creamy head. Aroma of coffee, some dark chocolate and roasted malt. Medium sweetness in the taste with hidden hoppy notes. High alcohol content and oily liquid. Not easily drinkable, but worth it.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mattphilips (747) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 17, 2011
