bierkoning (8109) - La Tropica, - DEC 14, 2003
UPDATED: NOV 11, 2005 Golden color, hazy. Fermented with Duvel yeast, I guess. You can smell it. Dusty aroma with a hint of citrus. Banana and cream in the flavor. A homebrew taste. This beer must be infected. Some hops, dirty, rancid palate. Re-rate: bottle bought in Grobbendonk in september 2005. Again a heavily infected botle.

11.2 oz bottle-trade with jtclockwork-pours amber with a foamy white head. Aroma is slightly spice/herbal hops, musty light/medium malt. Taste is vegetal/herbal, some spice-clove, yeast, light/medium malt, metallic.

Sweet syrupy aroma. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A sweet flavour at first but with a finish that is a touch herbal/medicinal/phenolic.

Bottle 33 cl from Willems - Grobbendonk (B). Orangy amber with nice foam and superb laces, furious crackling. Greedy aromas of malt, fruity of orange, apricot, hint of bitterness. Spicy taste, toffy, light roasted and yeast. Very fresh, fruity, stay on spices with a bitterness more dry.

thewolf (8669) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2011
Bottle @ Bier Circus, Brussels.
Pours hazy amber with a nice, frothy, white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, some caramel, light doughy, a bit of fruity hops. High carbonation, okay light fat mouthfeel. Flavour has a bit of metal, otherwise fine sweetness, fat caramel, light vinious. Remote notes of yeast and fruity hops.

PotjeBier (527) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 25, 2011
Not much going on. Appearance is OK , with a nice amber color and off white head. Hardly any aroma, just a hint of herbs & vegetables. Not much flavor either. Just some yeasty & herbal bitterness in the finish. Disappointing.

Veel schuim, grote bellen die snel verdwijnen. Mooi mistig amber kleureke. De geur valt serieus tegen. Die is wat te zoet??? De smaak valt nog goed mee in vergelijking met de neus. Licht zoet en een beetje bitter in de afdronk. Voor mij een iets te neutrale smaak.

Hazy deep blond color. Medium aroma of hazelnuts and chemicals, chemical fabrics. The mild sweet malt flavor is covered by a nasty chemicals presence. Bad.
