3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 diabel (1538) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - JAN 30, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 11, 2006 Rerate Orange, hazy body. Off-white head. Nice aroma of caramel, spices, ... Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Quite complex with some spiciness. Very good balance. Unordinary flavour, which I liked this time. Seems like he has problems with the continuity. (8-3-8-4-16=3.9)
Bottled June 2005 Clear, blond body with a white frothy head. The aroma has some freshness (from hoppy aromas and spices) combined with sweetness from fine malts. Some mint too. Smells a bit like those medicines you ought to mix with warm water and then breathing the vapour leaving from that mixture. Bitter flavour, with some sweetness - rather unpleasant. Reminds me of pepermint that fizzes all over your head by every sip you take. Not my favorite style. (7-3-4-3-9=2.6)

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Countbeer (1944) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - DEC 21, 2011
Bottle:
Medium to small white head, that changes into a lacing fairly quick.
Smell hops, flowers, yeast, fresh fruit, yellow fruit, citrus, lemon. Very nice.
Taste is a crisp mix of hops, fruit, orange, hint of lemon, light hint of malts and soap with a good growing bitterness.
Good bitter light fruity herby aftertaste.
Medium carbo, tingly mouthfeel, medium to fuller body and a texture between watery and creamy.
I liked this beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Yves (1625) - Turnhout, BELGIUM - APR 2, 2008
Little hazy blond coloured beer with diminishing white head. Hoppy aroma. Sparkling palate. Ending like the taste of nuts with some hoppy touches. Good one.

Zythos ’06. Yellow with a nice head and aromas of banana clove and caramel. Tastes like a tripel but it’s called a blonde ale by the brewer. Sweet with a mild hop bite in the finish.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 31, 2007
(Bottled) Hazy yellow-golden with a small, quite firm and lacy head. The aroma if basically quite Duvel-like, but more acidic, with some earthy, saison-like features, and with the subtle addition of ginseng. Initially quite acidic, neutral, ginger-ginsengy flavor with hints of genever, and a fruity, bitter and dryish-alcohol-acidic finish. In the aftertaste, there are some grassy hops (when the ginseng has faded). Medium-bodied, quite carbonated and pretty sharp palate. Yeast softens both the aroma and palate, but leaves the ginger-ginsengy feel intact. After having many ginseng-flavored beers, I can say (or guess) it’s clearly present here - but, for a "ginseng virgin", this would probably just be a crisp and refreshing blonde. I like the earthy countryside feel in this, and the ginseng brings in additional crispness. There’s a bit too much acidity, though, for more profound enjoyment.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ladnewton (917) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2009 Tap at Bier Circus, Brussels, Belgium on 13th Feb 2009. Pale gold, slightly cloudy with large, lasting white head. Complex aroma with delicate ginseng, liquorice and cinnamon notes in equal measure. Dry finish. Pleasant.

Very pale gold, lots of floating, small obscenities (end of bottle hazy): little white head. Sweet, spicey nose, not overwhelming. Short of knowing ginseng, I couldn’t recognise it, but it might well explain the restrained spiciness. Spicey taste again, peppery (again - same problem). There’s some phenolic-sweetness, retronasal, rather subdued. Powdery texture, light to medium bodied. Not bad, but in THIS instance, the ginseng ought to have been able to express itself more.
